Editing Services
Anesce started as a CRLA Level II Writing Center Fellow at Carthage College with over 200 hours of face-to-face tutoring. As a Critical Language Scholarship Alumni Ambassador (‘17-‘18), she provided revision suggestions for dozens of scholarship applicants. Anesce was the international coordinator of The Quarantine Train (‘20-’22) wherein a portion of her work included writing community guidelines on how to critique a poem with compassion and craft. She constructively critiqued dozens of creative nonfiction essays, fiction stories, and poems; Anesce has edited two poetry manuscripts from TQT members; one of which has been published by Paperwall. Anesce was a GrubStreet student of Advanced Memoir Workshop, Writing to Heal Incubator, and Nonfiction Revision. She believes one of the most rewarding aspects of participating in creative nonfiction workshops was being a literary citizen and sharing constructive criticism. Over three GrubStreet courses, Anesce has provided developmental editing for approximately 820 pages. Receive a customized letter of feedback alongside comments in the margins for personal statements, scholarship applications, poetry manuscripts, essays/short stories, poems, and/or other written content. Anesce’s editing services tend to utilize compassionate and encouraging tones that encourage the writer to take agency in their revision process.
